I can’t believe it has already been one year since I started this site! What started with a few customizing tips every week has grown to include videos, tutorials, guest posts, downloadable goodies, and a huge free decal gallery. Minimate Factory is now on Facebook and Twitter too! It has been a fun ride so far. I can’t even tell you how much I have learned by running this site. Without it I might not have tried waterslide decals or LED lighting. Now I am even experimenting with molding and casting my own parts! More on that in the coming weeks. 🙂
I want to thank all of my readers for stopping by every week to get the latest update. Your emails and PMs over at the Minimate Multiverse have been much appreciated! Moving forward, I encourage you to send me ideas for new topics, and even try your hand at writing an article. My goal has always been to make this site a resource for the entire community.
Moving on to the anniversary festivities, I have gotten permission from Cubeecraft.com to modify their designs into minimate decals!
New Minimate Decals
You will find a new gallery called “Decals by Cubeecraft” under the Decals menu above with over 20 new characters! With everything from Buffy the Vampire Slayer to Space Ghost to Usagi Yojimbo, I guarantee you will find something you want here. There is even a set of TMNT decals that my friend Jeff Brzozowski converted. All of these decals are for personal use only. If you haven’t taken the leap into using decals for your minimate customs, now is a great time to start! I have a full tutorial on how to apply decals under the Tutorials menu above. With a little practice, you can be creating new characters in as little as 10 minutes!
If you run out of free decals to use from our galleries, why not try your hand at designing your own? I have tutorials available for designing decals in both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. I can also open up a gallery for your designs here at the Factory for you to share your decals with the world. 🙂
